SYeLP celebrates!

An innovative educational programme which has made a real difference to the skills, lives and employability of people in South Yorkshire, recently held an event to celebrate its success. The South Yorkshire e-Learning Programme (or SYeLP) has been the largest single investment made by the Objective 1 programme, with over £72 million from the European Social Fund and the European Regional Development Fund. Since 2001, SYeLP has helped develop new e-Learning networks and related ICT capability and increased the quality of learning content across schools, colleges, homes, businesses and community access areas. The SYeLP programme has been delivered through a partnership which includes the four local authorities of Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield, along with the Learning and Skills Council and Yorkshire Forward.
