It’s a year since Cornwall based ship repair and conversion company, A and P Falmouth, took the plunge and embarked on a comprehensive ESF training programme to up-skill its workforce.

In that time around 20% of staff have either completed or signed up for training courses.

The training is all part of the Marine Skills Project which is co-financed by the Skills Funding Agency.

"The feedback from the employees involved has been very good and many are looking to progress to the next level,” said Paul Kneebone, Personnel and Training Manager for A and P. “We intend to continue building on the success of the project by introducing more employees to learning opportunities in the very near future.”
